ELMER

Image
Elmer is an elephant who is not very elephantine. He quickly realizes that being different is not pleasant, he wants to change and be like others. The book inspired us to talk about individuality, Elmer helped us understand what acceptance and appreciation of strengths are.  We also read the book during the celebration of Autism Awareness Day. As part of joint activities with the project partners, we drew a picture story, and the robots helped us determine its order. We coded remembering that it is worth appreciating yourself as you are. SUPERWORM

Image
The book about the Superworm is a tip - it is worth cooperating, thanks to friendship and joint action you can achieve a lot. We worked together in small groups - we created superworm mascots, each country had its own. We came up with ideas on how the superworm could help us... so it became a bridge, a door support, a rope for pulling, a scarf... the superworm is truly irreplaceable, just like the imagination of our preschoolers. We presented the completed works during an online meeting. Charmed by the song of the book's hero, we recorded our own versions and created a film. We also created masks of the insects that appeared in the book - thanks to them, we played out drama scenes. Collaborative song

THE COLOUR MONSTER

Image
The colorful monster got completely lost in his emotions. Luckily, his friend helped him sort out his feelings. Each of them has a different color. Together with the monster, we showed our emotions using gestures and facial expressions. We checked where individual emotions are felt: when we are happy, we have a smile on our face and want to jump, when angry, we want to stomp... During the online meeting, we guessed what emotion our colleagues from Poland, Greece and Spain were showing, we also named the emotion depending on what color we heard. We created tasks for partners - instructions on how to draw a monster, and we drew ourselves based on the guidelines we received. The works were turned into a gallery in the Padlet app - our Gallery Other monsters were created thanks to artificial intelligence and the Dream Lab program in Canva - we added our own voices and moving lips to them - thanks to Chatter Pix. "PETE THE CAT IN HIS SCHOOL SCHOES"

Image
"Pete the Cat" and his songs took over the kindergarten in October and November. The cat goes to school for the first time and is worried. New places and challenges are not easy for Pete in red shoes. Instead of getting into a bad mood, he decides to sing his favorite song. With a smile on his face and a guitar in his paw, he copes with stress with a bang. The book was a good occassion to talk about anxiety and stress as also ways to cope with them in appropriate way. SEL

Image
Each kindergarten created proposals for the appearance of the mysterious hero of our project, named SEL. Spain invited to participate in the project - Project Introduction Two schools from Greece recorded a greeting - Hello SEL, Hello SEL We had to finish and invite to vote - The End From all the works, we chose a representative of each country and voted using Google Forms for an illustration that shows the real SEL. SEL is actually an abbreviation for Social Emotional Learning, and the image from Greece was chosen by vote :)
